Sensex ends 64 points higher on investors' support

The benchmark Sensex closed with a gain of over 64 points on the Bombay Stock Exchange on Thursday on heavy buying and selling by funds in heavyweight stocks.
The benchmark Sensex closed with a gain of over 64 points on the Bombay Stock Exchange on Thursday on heavy buying and selling by funds in heavyweight stocks.
The Sensex after a spectacular rise of 358 points in early trade, however, fell to reduce gains and ended 64.39 points at 19,003.26. It touched the day's high of 19,297.01 and a low of 18,930.31 points.

The second wide-based National Stock Exchange index Nifty also closed higher by 7.05 points at 5,624.60, after touching a high of 5,725.00 and a low of 5,612.10 points.
