Sensex recovers on fresh buying at open

The Bombay Stock Exchange benchmark Sensex on Tuesday recovered by over 88 points in early trade on buying at existing lower levels.
The 30-share index, which had fell to the 10-month low in Monday's's trading, bounced back by gaining 88.69 points to 14,382.01 points in the first five minutes of trade.
Similarly, wide-based National Stock Exchange's index Nifty rose by 29.95 points to 4,296.35.
Major support to the market came from oil and gas, consumer goods and metal segments.
Major gainers on the bourse were HDFC, ONGC, Satyam Computer, Infosys Technologies and Wipro.
However, major Asian markets today opened marginally lower after a sluggish performance overnight on the Wall Street ahead of the US interest rate decision.
Japan benchmark Nikkei-225 index fell 0.05 per cent in the morning trade while Hong Kong shares opened lower 0.2 per cent.
