The Bombay Stock Exchange benchmark Sensex, moved up by over 247 points in early trade on Monday on heavy buying by funds.
The 30-share index, Sensex shot up by 247.10 points to 20,447.10 points in the first five minutes of trade as funds bought heavy weight stocks like ACC, Bhel, Reliance and Infosys.
Similarly, the National Stock Exchange Index, Nifty rose by 63.95 points to 6,143.65.
