Construction and engineering services outfit Simplex Projects Ltd has identified emerging areas in infrastructure like car parking systems and constructing riverbank embankment to fuel its future growth.

The Kolkata-based company plans to put a lot of stress in these two areas owing to its sheer potential and cashing in on the first mover’s advantage. Simplex has recently undertaken a pilot project for a 900 metre river bank embankment protection project on the river Bhagirathi. It also recently built a state-of-the-art parking lot in the heart of Kolkata.

While protecting riverbank embankment is a major area of concern, optimisation of parking space in crowded metropolis is another cause of worry for all state governments.

With erosion of riverbanks happening across the country, Simplex hopes to rake in huge business from this new segment by implementing projects with foreign collaborations for superior technology.

Speaking at the company's roadshow for the forthcoming IPO through a 100 per cent book building route at a price band of between Rs 170 and Rs 185.

Simplex director RD Mundhra said the company is optimistic that the demand for automated car parks across the country would grow by leaps and bounds.
