Reliance Infrastructure, part of Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group (ADAG) posted a net profit of Rs 360 crore for the June- September quarter up 11 % year-on-year.

The jump was on account of better margins for the company as the total operating income increased by a modest two per cent at Rs 4,043 crore in the second quarter.

The company said its aggregate from energy sales decreased to Rs 1,557 crore this quarter as against Rs 1,640 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.

“The company achieved aggregate sales of electrical energy on standalone basis of 2415 million units this quarter as against 2629 million units in the second quarter last year,” the company said in a statement on Friday.

Reliance Infrastructure shares closed at Rs 1,047.35, down 1.44 % from the previous close.
