An advertisement for the 1983 Macintosh computer by tech giant Apple, which wasn’t broadcasted ever, has now been posted online.

Apple consequently used it for their own sales conferences.

The short clip is described on YouTube as ‘Snippets from interviews with members of the original Macintosh design team, recorded in October 1983 for projected TV commercials that were never used. Featuring Burrell Smith, Andy Hertzfeld, George Crow, Bill Atkinson and Mike Murray.’

According to The Telegraph, Hertzfeld, who designed much of the Mac user interface, on Google+, first posted the film.

Smith designed the Mac motherboard, the report said.

In the film, the contributors say, ‘we designed the Macintosh because we wanted one for ourselves and we couldn’t get one.’

One claims, ‘Mac is an extension of who we are.’

According to the paper, the film did not meet with Apple''s approval and the firm went on to produce some of the most successful adverts of the early 21st-century, including the silhouetted iPod commercials.
