Thinkers50 is a nominations based appraiser of management gurus, scholars, educators, economists and social scientists.

It lists out of box management thinkers, strategists writers in their respective degree of influence, contribution and popularity.

It was set up in 2001 by business management researchers Stuart Crainer and Des Dearlov.

Nominees come from across the academic spectrum. Once nominated, Crainer and Dearlove sort and post 80 names on the Thinkers50 website and ask readers to address one question: "Who is the most important living management thinker?" Readers select one name from a pull-down menu of Thinkers.
