The top 10 best selling cars in 2011, saw only one new entrant - Ford Figo - at the bottom of the list, as old guards remained firm favourites despite an exponential increase in the number of new entrants.
Mauti Alto retained its grip at the top with a seventh consecutive pole
position and is followed by five cars that registered a decline in sales during the year. Maruti dominates the list with four cars in the top 10 followed by Hyundai with three and Tata's Indica and Indigo. The Alto is followed by the Wagon R, Hyundai i10, Swift and Indica.
Barring Alto, only two other cars Hyundai i20 and Ford Figo registered growth during the year.
