Hollywood star Hugh Jackman has healed a long-running rift with his mother, who had apparently walked out of their home when he was a child.

After sweeping women off their feet with his chiselled looks, Hollywood heartthrob Hugh Jackman has now become a favourite among men as well.

Jackman has taken over heartthrob Brad Pitt as the star most men wish to look like, according to a leading Hollywood surgeon, Contactmusic reported.

The Australian star regularly tops sexiest male polls and was named People magazine's Sexiest Man Alive last year and now Jackman's looks are impressing guys too, Contactmusic reported.

Doctor Robert Rey, the star of reality TV show Dr 90210, said, "Hugh Jackman just passed Brad Pitt in my list of what men ask for. They say, 'Doc, can I have a gut ripped like his? Doc, can I have a nose like his?'

"Australians have really made a huge impact on the world, especially in Hollywood, with their standard of beauty," Rey said.
