12 PCS officers promoted as IAS

The union ministry of personnel has elevated 12 Punjab Civil Service (PCS) officers to the Indian Administrative Service (IAS). The notification in this regard has been issued.

Stating this here on Friday, a government spokesperson said seven officers had been allotted the 2011 batch, while five had got the 2012 batch. The promoted PCS officers are Sukhwinder Singh, Gurdev Singh, Malwinder Singh Jaggi, Parminder Singh Gill, Manpreet Singh, Jaskiran Singh, Dilraj Singh, Manjit Singh Brar, Kanwal Preet Brar, Tejinder Pal Singh, Devinder Pal Singh and Bhupinder Singh.


Two police officers transferred

The Punjab government on Friday transferred two police officers with immediate effect. Stating this here, an official spokesman said IPS officer Rajinder Singh had been posted as additional director general of police (ADGP), Punjab State Human Rights Commission, Chandigarh, against a vacant post. Amarpreet Singh, a PPS officer, has been posted as assistant commandant, Fifth Commando Battalion, Bahadurgarh, Patiala, against a vacant post on administrative grounds.
