13 IAS, five PCS officers get fresh portfolios

In a major reshuffle, Punjab government has issued transfer and posting orders of 14 IAS officers, including three Deputy Commissioners, of the state with immediate effect.

The Punjab government has announced fresh portfolios for 13 IAS and five PCS officers, replacing the deputy commissioners (DCs) of Nawanshahr and Hoshiarpur.

The IAS officers with fresh portfolios are Mandeep Singh Sandhu (principal secretary, animal husbandry, fisheries and dairy); Dharam Vir (principal secretary, defence services welfare); G Vajralingam (principal secretary, food and civil supplies and member secretary, Punjab Social Development and Governance Commission); Pardeep Aggarwal (director, general school education); GK Singh (commissioner, Ludhiana municipal corporation); Amit Dhaka (managing director, Punjab State Industrial Exports Corporation); Ravinder Sharma (Nawanshahr deputy commissioner); Anindita Mitra (Hoshiarpur deputy commissioner); Parveen Kumar Thind (director, planning); Arun Sekhri (additional registrar, cooperative societies); Manpreet Singh Chatwal (Punjab Pollution Control Board); Malwinder Singh Jaggi (director, state transport) and SR Laddar (additional charge as secretary, Punjab State Human Rights Commission, besides the existing portfolio of secretary-cum-mission director, food processing).

The five reshuffled PCS officers are Amrit Kaur Gill (deputy excise and taxation commissioner, Ludhiana); Neeru Katyal Gupta (additional deputy commissioner, Ludhiana-general); Munish Kumar (joint principal secretary to the deputy chief minister and additional charge as deputy excise and taxation commissioner, Ludhiana, and chief administrator, Bathinda Development Authority); Inderjit Kaur Kang (Derabassi sub-divisional magistrate) and Vijay Kumar Syal (Faridkot sub-divisional magistrate, in addition to district transport officer, Faridkot).

1 IPS, 10 PPS officers reshuffled

The Punjab government, on Friday, issued fresh postings of one IPS and 10 PPS officers with immediate effect.

Naveen Singla, IPS (DCP Ludhiana); Kulwinder Singh Thiara (Commandant 6th IRB, Ladda Kothi, Sangrur); Gurmeet Singh (AIG, Railway Police, Patiala); Daljinder Singh (AIG, state Narcotics Control Bureau, in addition, Commandant 4th IRB, Kapurthala); Mukhwinder Singh (additional DCP/Investigation, Ludhiana); Ashwani Kapoor (AIG, community policing, Chandigarh headquarters); Pushkar Sandal (SP-cum-DCPO, Kapurthala); Charnjit Sharma (DCP, Jalandhar); Gurpreet Singh (Commandant, Commando Training Centre, Bahadurgarh); Chhinder Singh (assistant Commandant, 2nd IRB, Ladda Kothi, Sangrur) and Narinder Pal (SP-cum-DCPO, Bathinda).
