2 killed Kinnaur road mishap

Two people were killed and two injured at Pangi village in the tribal Kinnaur district when the car in which they were travelling in skidded off the road on Wednesday night.

The Alto car (HP-25 A1928) that was going to Pangi village met with the accident just 50 metre before the destination. The victims were identified as Som Kishan (52) and Ram Kumar (33). Michel (16), son of Som Kishan, and Joginder Singh, owner and driver of the car, were injured in the accident.

The driver hailed from Nesang village in Kinnaur while the other three were residents of Pangi village.

A police official said a team was rushed to the spot on Wednesday night and injured driver was referred to the Indira Gandhi Medical College, Shimla. The other injured was admitted to district hospital, Kinnaur. While a case has been registered, the reason behind the mishap was yet to be ascertained.
