2 teachers fired after detection of 114 cheating cases

As many as 114 cheating cases were detected on the second day of Haryana School Education Board semester examination 2012 and two teachers were suspended for dereliction of duties, an official release said on Saturday.

As many as 114 cheating cases were detected on the second day of Haryana School Education Board semester examination 2012 and two teachers were suspended for dereliction of duties, an official release said on Saturday.


The released said that on the day of Hindi exam on Thursday, a flying squad inspected various examination centres at Jind and Gohana and registered unfair means cases (UMC) against 45 candidates.

Another team inspected examination centres of Hisar and Bhiwani districts and registered UMCs against three candidates for using unfair means during examination. It said other flying squads also detected 66 cheating cases.

The release added that those who were suspended were: Rakesh Kumar, Sanskrit teacher at Government High School, Bhonsla, who was deployed at examination centre of Gopal Vidya Mandir; and Ram Parkash, social science teacher at Government High School, Kharenti, who was deployed at examination centre of Sanatan Dharam Senior Secondary School, Karnal.
