21 non-officio members nominated

The Punjab government has nominated non-official members of the Redressal Grievances Committee of Anandpur Sahib sub-division in Rupnagar district for which a notification has also been issued, a spokesman said on Wednesday.


The members have been nominated from the recognised political parties and communities of the Anandpur Sahib sub-division.

They are Inderjit Singh Arora (SAD), Tarsem Lal (BJP), Prem Singh (Congress), Nirmal Singh (BSP), Avtar Singh (Nationalist Congress Party), Gita Ram (CPM), Atma Singh (from among the freedom fighters), Capt Balbir Singh (ex-servicemen category), Gian Chand (backward classes), Bhajan Singh (scheduled castes), Shiv Kumar (youth) Deepak Rana (from among the nambardars); Ram Piari (women section), Sukhwinder Singh (social sector), Haravtar Singh Sodhian (business category), Rajpal Singh (agriculture), Narinder Singh (a representative of Lok Sabha member Ravneet Bittu), Karam Chand (a representative of MLA Madan Mohan Mittal), Sakhu (Valmiki community), Karnail Singh (Mazhbi Sikh) and Harjit Singh (Bharatiya Kisan Union).
