The victim was to appear for his first exam for the sixth semester on Tuesday. Those from the metallurgy department at PEC said that Vikram had been constantly slipping in his studies.

The head of the metallurgy department Uma Batra said, "I am shocked to hear about Vikram. He was not doing well academically but I would say that he was a quiet and intelligent student.
