A 25-year-old man was found murdered at Dhanas on Friday. Police suspect the victim was stabbed on the rear of his head, and chest with a sharp-edged weapon leading to his death. He was an employee with a scrap dealer hailing from Bihar.
The victim has been identified as Parmod alias Guddu, who also hails from Bihar. His body was found in front of the Community Centre in Dhanas. The passersby saw the body and informed the police. The body was later kept in the mortuary at Government Multi-Specialty Hospital (GMSH), Sector 16, Chandigarh.
The officiating station house officer (SHO), Sector-11 police station, inspector Ranjit Singh Dhillon said it appeared that he was murdered with following some enmity, as he was attacked with sharp-edged weapon. The police had got some leads based on which, a few suspects were rounded up for questioning. Police have registered a case under section 302 the IPC against unidentified persons.
