26 senior Haryana IAS officers shifted

The BJP government in Haryana on Wednesday night effected its first major bureaucratic shuffle, ordering transfers of 26 IAS officers in the rank of additional chief secretaries and principal secretaries.

The BJP government in Haryana on Wednesday night effected its first major bureaucratic shuffle, ordering transfers of 26 IAS officers in the rank of additional chief secretaries and principal secretaries.

A 1985-batch IAS officer, PK Mahapatra, has been posted as additional chief secretary, home, and principal resident commissioner, Haryana Bhawan, New Delhi, while 1986-batch IAS officer PK Das has been posted as principal secretary, finance and planning.

While 1985-batch IAS officer P Raghavendra Rao has been posted as additional chief secretary, town and country planning and housing, a 1987-batch IAS officer Devender Singh has been posted as principal secretary, industries and commerce and electronics and information technology.

A 1983-batch IAS officer, Rajan Gupta, has been posted as additional chief secretary, power and renewable energy, while 1986-batch officer RR Jowel has been posted as principal secretary, irrigation.

A 1984-batch IAS officer, Roshan Lal, has been posted as additional chief secretary, excise and taxation and mines and geology, while his batchmate Navraj Sandhu has been posted as additional chief secretary, development and panchayat. Another batchmate of theirs, Hardeep Kumar, has been posted as additional chief secretary, public works (B&R) and architecture.

Sudeep Singh Dhillon, former principal secretary to the chief minister (PSCM), has been posted as additional chief secretary, tourism, archaeology and museums, while SS Prasad has been posted as additional chief secretary, food and supplies and industrial training. RP Chander has been posted as additional chief secretary, medical education and research and women and child development, while Sunil Kumar Gulati on return from central deputation has been posted as additional chief secretary, social justice and empowerment.

Ram Niwas has been posted as additional chief secretary, health, while batchmate and former PSCM KK Khandelwal has been posted as additional chief secretary, sports and youth affairs. Dhanpat Singh has been posted as additional chief secretary, agriculture, while Vijai Vardhan has been posted as additional chief secretary, higher education, archives, printing and stationery and cultural affairs.

Sanjeev Kaushal, principal secretary to the CM, will also hold the charge of principal secretary, public relations and languages. His batchmate Shashi Bala Gulati has been posted as principal secretary, labour and employment, while Alok Nigam has been posted as principal secretary, public health engineering and co-operation (till further orders). Another 1986-batch IAS officer, Dheera Khandelwal, has been posted as principal secretary, technical education.

TC Gupta has been posted as principal secretary, school education; Amit Jha in the forests and wildlife department; SN Roy as principal secretary, urban local bodies and science and technology; Avtar Singh as principal secretary, transport and civil aviation and environment; and Mahavir Singh as principal secretary, animal husbandry and dairying and fisheries.
