3 IAS, 2 PCS officers get new postings in Punjab

After a major reshuffle in the bureaucracy last week, the Punjab government on Tuesday gave fresh postings or additional charge to three IAS and two PCS officers to fill up the vacant posts.


The IAS officers who have been given the fresh portfolios are Balwinder Singh Multani, special secretary, school education; Bhawna Garg, special secretary, planning and non- conventional energy; and Harbhupinder Singh, special secretary, medical education and research.

Power and irrigation secretary Anirudh Tewari has been given additional charge of non-conventional energy.

The PCS officers with the new portfolios are GS Ghuman, land acquisition collector, in addition to additional director in the industries department, and Pooja Syal, executive magistrate, Patiala.
