3 officials caught taking bribe

Haryana state vigilance bureau has arrested inspector Satyawan, audit cooperative societies, Kurukshetra, red-handed while accepting a bribe of Rs 3,000 from Sham Lal, a resident of Bapdi village in lieu of audit report for leave encashment.

In another case, the bureau officials caught Satyavir Singh Lohan, technical assistant and Ravi Chahal, computer operator, agriculture department, Rohtak, for accepting illegal gratification of Rs 3,000 from Rakesh Kumar, a resident of Kabulpur, Rohtak, in lieu of issuing license for his shop.

An official spokesperson said a raid was conducted and both accused were arrested when Satyavir handed over the said money to Ravi, after taking it from Rakesh. The money was also recovered from Ravi.

The spokesperson said cases had been registered against them and further investigation was on.
