As many as 31 cheating cases were reported across state on the first day of Class 12, Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) board exams, on Saturday. These included a maximum of nine from Jalandhar.
Teams comprising of board officials went to different districts as flying squad members.
The board chairperson Tejinder Kaur Dhaliwal along with finance and development officer Gurtej Singh and director computers Navneet Kaur Gill visited Ludhiana. The chairperson shared that two centres in Indian Public School and Gur Shakti School in Ludhiana will not be made exam centres in future as both were found lacking in facilities.
The maximum cheating cases were reported from Jalandhar, followed by three each from Ferozpur, Faridkot, Barnala, Nawanshahr, Mansa and Kapurthala. Meanwhile two each were reported from Fazilka, Gurdaspur, Ludhiana, SAS Nagar and Sangrur.
