As many as 4,700 poly houses will be set up in Himachal Pradesh under the Dr Yashwant Singh Parmar Self-Employment Programme during the current financial year.
This was stated by chief parliamentary secretary Inder Dutt Lakhanpal while talking to a gathering at Mahre Kaswa village on Thursday.
Lakhanpal said that a sum of Rs 100 crore would be spent under the ambitious programme to help the youth of state stand up on their feet. He said that 85 per cent subsidy was being given by the government to those who were setting up on poly houses in their fields. They would also be imparted training at the Himachal Pradesh Agriculture University, Palampur so that they could learn how to manage poly houses.
Earlier, the chief parliamentary secretary listened to the grievances of the people and assured them that the state government would do its best to solve their problems, if any, on top priority basis.
