People travelling from Delhi to Chandigarh had a tough time on Saturday as the Shatabdi Express arrived at the city railway station seven hours behind the schedule.
The Shatabdi Express, which is scheduled to arrive here at 11:05am, reached at about 6pm owing to fog in Delhi. The fog in the national capital reduced the visibility, thereby re-scheduling departure of the train.
The delayed arrival of the morning Shatabdi Express also delayed the departure of the evening Shatabdi by about two hours.
Also, the Kalka Mail, which runs between Howrah-Kalka, was delayed by about 17 hours, while the Himalyan Queen was delayed by one hours and 35 minutes.
The Sadbhavna Express was also delayed by two hours 40 minutes, while the Unchahar Express, which runs between Allahabad and Chandigarh, was delayed by 12 hours 50 minutes.
3 flights delayed
The three Delhi-bound flights -two of Jet Airways and one of SpiceJet -out of total 15 flights operating from the city airport were cancelled on Saturday due to low visibility in the national capital.
