Panjab University (PU) Chandigarh on Saturday declared the results of BCom-2 examination. Ludhiana once again put up an impressive show: eight out of the top ten students came from the city.
Taruntej Singh of Sri Aurobindo College of Commerce and Management, Village Jhande, Ludhiana, with a score of 980 of 1,150, secured the highest marks. Savar Gupta, also of the same college, notched 978 marks to be declared second while Parul Jain of Government College of Commerce and Business Administration, Sector 42, scored 977, securing the third position. She came first in Chandigarh.
Pratibha Jain and Vani Jhanjhi, also of Sri Aurobindo College of Commerce and Management, Ludhiana, scored 974 and 973 marks, respectively, bagging the fourth and fifth spots on the merit list. Ekta of Arya College, Ludhiana, who scored 968 marks and Jasleen Kaur of Guru Nanak Khalsa College for Women, Model Town Ludhiana, who scored 966 marks, came sixth and seventh, respectively.
Kanika Verma of SD college, Sector 32, Chandigarh, with a score of 965, came at the ninth spot. She came second in Chandigarh.
Lovleen of Guru Nanak College, Moga, came tenth with a score of 964.
PU Controller of Examinations (CoE) Parvinder Singh said that 6,150 of the 8,276 students passed the examination, thus recording a pass rate of 74.31%. The results can be accessed on PU website results.puchd.ac.in/.
