The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) high command on Saturday announced the formation of a state advisory committee under 'Mission Vistaar' in an attempt to strengthen its cadre at the grassroots level after its defeat in the recent Lok Sabha polls.

State chief spokesperson Manav Chaudhary said, "The AAP has launched 'Mission Vistaar' to make its presence felt in every village in the country. The main aim is to re-launch the party across the nation in the next one year. Party workers will focus on spreading awareness about AAP's ideology amongst the public. To execute this, existing groups at each level will be revamped, taking on board old and new members," he said.

District, tehsil, sub-tehsil and panchyat level committees will also be constituted to recruit additional members and propagate the party's stand on various issues like corruption, Jan Lokpal, he said. Chaudhary said a political affairs committee will also be constituted in the state soon.

He informed that Gairdharilal Batra, Dev Raj Duggal and Jai Chand Thakur were appointed as heads of the state advisory committee. He added that youth leader and party observer Prabahav Vashisht, state chief spokesperson Manav Chaudhary, associate in-charge Kamal Kant Batra, state coordinators Ranbhir Chaudhary and Subash Sharma, and state IT associate Prashant Sharma were appointed as members of the committee.
