Two months after she went missing, a 16-year-old girl returned home here with a harrowing tale of rape and abduction that has resulted in the arrest of two local youths.

According to what Mona (name changed) told the police, in April, when she was returning home after taking admission in a school on her bicycle when the two boys, one of whom was known to her, told her that her mother had met with an accident and asked her to come with them on their motorcycle.

But they drugged her on the way and took her to the fields nearby, she has alleged. According to the FIR, she did not know for how many days they kept her confined there and raped her. After some days, another youth, who was also known to her, met her when she managed to get away.

He offered to drop her home in his car. But as she was barely in her senses, he took her to New Delhi and abandoned her at the railway station. She said she was crying at the railway station there when a woman met her and offered to help. Mona told her the story and the woman allegedly took her to her house where Mona was asked to work. There, the woman's son allegedly raped Mona.

Some days later, Mona finally managed to escape when the woman was taking bath and she locked the bathroom. Mona contacted her mother on the phone, and upon her counsel, she gathered the courage to catch a train to Khanna. The girl's mother contacted the Khanna police and they met the girl near Ambala. The missing report had been lodged in April. Now, after medical examination confirmed rape, the police have arrested the two local youths. The accused in Delhi remain to be arrested.
