The four missionary schools of the city - St John's High School, Sector 26; Sacred Heart School, Sector 26; Carmel Convent School, Sector 9; and St Anne's Convent School, Sector 32; - have declared their admission dates and age criteria for entry-level admissions.
The schools will begin with the admission process from November 25 with the display of necessary information on their notice boards and also issuing of admission forms.
The age criteria like every year is the same with St John's High School admitting children who are five plus in Upper Kindergarten, while the rest of three schools will admit students in Lower Kindergarten who are four plus.
The form submission process will not follow the common admission schedule as the schools are preparing for their annual functions. The date will be printed on the forms and will be declared soon.
Last year, in the four convent schools approximately 5,500 forms were submitted against 680 seats and approximately 750 Right to Education applications were submitted against 170 seats under it.
Missionary schools are most sought-after schools because their fee structure is nominal, but the managements have decided to hike the fee by 10% from 2014. "The fees might be revised from the new session," said a spokesperson of the missionary schools.
