Admissions to 7 new polytechnics in Punjab from this session

Admissions in the seven new polytechnic colleges would start from this academic session, giving an opportunity to thousands of students to get quality vocational education in Punjab.

Admissions in the seven new polytechnic colleges would start from this academic session, giving an opportunity to thousands of students to get quality vocational education in Punjab.


The new polytechnic colleges have been set up at Breta in Mansa, Kotkapura in Faridkot, Fatuhi Khera in Mukatsar, Behram in SBS Nagar, Begowal in Kapurthala, Ranvan in Fatehgarh Sahib and Badbar in Barnala district .

Technical education and industry minister Anil Joshi said the Punjab government had set up seven new polytechnic colleges in such semi-urban and rural areas that had no government technical college till now.

He said that the state had earlier identified seven districts which had no government polytechnic college and student had to travel miles for studying in adjoining districts.
