After three rounds of the Lok Sabha elections, Twitter is alive with the reactions of the hopefuls. Thursday's high turnout in Jammu, Haryana and Chandigarh has accelerated the "get inked" trend on the online social networking and micro-blogging service.

The tweet of the day is a "Modi PM, me CM" picture that Haryana Janhit Congress (HJC) president Kuldeep Bishnoi has posted, putting his innermost wish in a speech balloon. Haryana's turnout was 70%.

Kurukshetra MP Naveen Jindal tweeted: "#kurukshetra will do a hat-trick. #kurukshetra records the highest voter turnout (more than 75%)."

Rohtak MP Deepender S Hooda has let the Twitter bird carry his message of thanks to the voters, and in Jammu, chief minister Omar Abdullah posted: "All of you contesting or voting today: good luck. Make it a good one #2014." Jammu-Poonch recorded 66.29% polling.

Kirron Kher, Bharatiya Janata Party candidate from Chandigarh, was out with this message: "I see LOVE all around me. I see HOPE everywhere. I see ENTHUSIASM all over. I see CHANGE in the coming days."

Anupam Kher, her actor husband, tweeted: "Jai Ho.:) Wishing @KirronKherBJP great luck today. Give her your support my friends. :) #VoteForIndia."
He also tweeted about the plight of voters: "Long queues, slow process. People standing in hot sun in Dhanas, Chandigarh. No water."

Aam Aadmi Party candidate of the same seat, Gul Panag, tweeted on Friday afternoon: "Unsung hero of yesterday's polling remains the Election Commission. Handled the unprecedented turnout impeccably & selflessly. #Chandigarh."

Former BJP MP Satya Pal Jain, thanked Chandigarh for "overwhelming support to @BJP4India today", and in another tweet, expressed desire to stand from Chandigarh once and win.
