Airhostess suicide case: Kanda will surrender, claims brother

Former Haryana minister Gopal Kanda will surrender before the police in connection with the suicide of his former employee Geetika Sharma, the politician's brother told the media on Friday.

Former Haryana minister Gopal Kanda will surrender before the police in connection with the suicide of his former employee Geetika Sharma, the politician's brother told the media on Friday.


Kanda will appear before the police in Delhi on Monday, Govind Kanda claimed. Gopal Kanda, who till last week was Haryana's junior home minister, has been charged in the death of Sharma, who was a former flight attendant of his now-defunct MDLR airlines. She named Kanda in her suicide note and the Sirsa legislator was stripped of his portfolio.

Kanda, a businessman with interests in an airline, casino and hotels, has been on the the run from Delhi Police after Sharma committed suicide last week in her Delhi apartment and named him and another executive, Aruna Chadha, as her tormentors who drove her to commit suicide.
