All PCRs deployed on the night of December 31 in Panchkula will have a woman cop each, said the police, here on Monday.
"A number of check posts will be put up on the night of December 31. We have issued directions to all station house officers (SHOs) and in-charge of police posts to remain on duty beyond midnight," said commissioner of police, Ambala-Panchkula, Rajbir Deswal.
The SHOs and in-charge of police posts will keep patrolling the streets to avoid any untoward incident.
Discussing drunk driving, Deswal said it had been observed that drunk youth create ruckus and commit crimes. "Therefore, we will keep a check on drunk driving and alcohol sensors would be used to check the menace," added Deswal.
Directions for hotels, restaurants:
To check ID cards of visitors attending parties. No one without it to be allowed to stay at the hotel.
Proper barricading should be done to avoid jam-like situation near your premises.
Proper frisking of visitors should be done to check illegal entry of arms and narcotic drugs.
Boards mentioning number - 100 and women help line number - 1091 are to be displayed.
Male bouncers and staff should be briefed to behave properly with women customers.
Women bouncers also to be deployed.
CCTV cameras to be kept in proper condition and recording of proceedings be ensured.
To make transportation arrangements and to keep vehicles ready for the use of female visitors, in case they desire for transportation to their places of stay.
