Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) president and Punjab deputy chief minister Sukhbir Singh Badal on Thursday dubbed state Congress chief Capt Amarinder Singh a "paper tiger" and "toothless" a day after the Captain addressed rallies of SAD-Delhi chief Paramjit Singh Sarna in the Capital.

Addressing rallies in Delhi, Sukhbir said even Amarinder could not prevent the anti-Sarna wave in the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC) elections.

"Amarinder cannot save the sinking ship of the Sarna group," Sukhbir said.

"After tasting second consecutive defeat in the Punjab assembly elections, Amarinder would now lead the Sarna group to a debacle in the gurdwara elections," the deputy CM said.

Sukhbir said the results of the DSGMC polls would be favour of the SAD and this would set the trend against the Congress ahead of the 2014 Lok Sabha elections.
