The Punjab and Haryana High Court on Tuesday issued a notice for tomorrow to the Punjab government and other respondents on the application filed by former chief minister Amarinder Singh, seeking permission to visit Britain for a medical check-up.
Justice Uma Nath Singh passed the order on the application of Capt Singh.
In the application, Capt Singh stated that he wanted to go abroad from June 10 to July 25 for a medical check-up of his liver and renal functions. A communication from Dr Sisir Roy, the doctor attending to him in London, has also been annexed by the petitioner.
The High Court has already granted Capt Singh interim anticipatory bail till July 30 in the wake of the case of alleged corruption registered against him by the state Vigilance Bureau in the award of the multi-crore construction contract of Ludhiana City Centre to new Delhi-based Today Homes and Infrastructure.
