Ambala resident robbed at knifepoint

Some unidentified miscreants robbed an Ambala resident at knifepoint in Chandigarh on Sunday. The incident took place near Sector 26 Grain Market. Station house officer (SHO) of Sector 26 police station inspector Anokh Singh said, “Victim Bablu, 32, a driver came to Sector 26 Grain Market to deliver vegetables.”

Some unidentified miscreants robbed an Ambala resident at knifepoint in Chandigarh on Sunday. The incident took place near Sector 26 Grain Market.


Station house officer (SHO) of Sector 26 police station inspector Anokh Singh said, “Victim Bablu, 32, a driver came to Sector 26 Grain Market to deliver vegetables.”

The victim, in his complaint to the police, said around four unidentified persons had attacked him, robbed `12,600 and some documents at knifepoint. The police was informed. SHO Anokh Singh said they had got some clues and the accused would be nabbed soon.

A case under Sections 382 (theft after preparation made for causing death, hurt or restraint in order to the committing of the theft), 506 (criminal intimidation), and 34 (acts done by several persons) under the Indian Penal Code (IPC) has been registered at Sector 26 police station.

In another case, Amrit Kaur, a Panchkula resident, reported that an unidentified miscreant had stolen her bag containing Rs 2500 cash and some documents from her Alto car (UP-15-2047) near railway station. A case of theft has been registered at Industrial Area police station.
