The Bharatiya Janata Party's 'Vijay Sankalp Yatra' would be flagged off by party national president Amit Shah on August 14 at 11am from Mahendragarh.
Stating that it would be the same venue from where former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee and Prime Minister Narendra Modi had addressed public rallies earlier, a party release said on Friday that there would be four such yatras (rallies) in Haryana.
State BJP president Ram Bilas Sharma would lead the yatra starting from Mahendragarh, which would cover several areas, including Rewari, Gurgaon, Mewat, Faridabad and Palwal, in 11 days, while union ministers Rao Inderjit Singh and Krishan Pal Gujjar would accompany him.
The rallies would focus on alleged corruption and favouritism in government jobs, the way government was acting against farmers, regional bias in development, atrocities on backward classes and especially the women, deficient water and power supply, poor infrastructure and anti-people policies of the ruling Congress government, the release said, adding that BJP Kisan Morcha president Om Prakash Dhankar would lead the yatra starting from Bhiwani.
The leader of the legislative group in assembly Anil Vij would lead the rally from Kalka and national spokesman Capt Abhimanyu from Sirsa. MP Dharamvir would accompany Dhankar, while former minister Ganeshi Lal would accompany Capt Abhimanyu and MP Rattan Lal Kataria, Anil Vij, the release said.
