Anurag Thakur, Bharatiya Janata Party MP from Hamirpur, on Sunday lashes out at chief minister Virbhadra Singh on opening of Medical colleges in the district.
He said by making provision of funds in the annual budget of the central government for AIIMS-like hospital for the district, he had fulfilled his duty.
In a statement, he added now it was the duty of the CM to provide land for the project and give a new lead to the medical services in the state.
“It is shocking to point out that the chief minister never responded to the letters of MPs regarding various centrally-sponsored projects and schemes. He said if the chief minister had given replies on time, AIIMS-like project would have started taking shape in Hamirpur,” he alleged.
Thakur said attitude of the CM was anti-Hamirpur and anti-BJP, which was against the democratic norms.
The BJP MP, who is also All India president of the youth wing of the party, said if the state government did not give proper consideration to demands and aspirations of the people that were being taken up by the MPs, the party would be compelled to come on roads to get justice and launch a ‘jan jagran’ campaign against the state government.
