Two shots were fired at a Sector-69 house on Friday late night, after a clash between groups that started at the local court in the evening refused to simmer down.

Inderpreet Singh, a SD College student, whose house was attacked, was one of those who had gone to meet Rajat Sharma, who has been accused of murdering a local lawyer, Amandeep Sethi and his case in under trial.

Singh alleged that some armed men with covered faces forcibly entered his house and damaged his car parked inside the house. They also attempted to destroy the CCTV camera, installed outside the house, by firing at it. The police reached the spot soon after the incident and found the base ball bat used to damage the car.

Following a complaint by Inderpreet Singh, a case has been registered against Monty Shah, Chetan, Inderpreet Parry, Money and others under section 452 (trespass) and 427 (mischief) and several sections of the Arms Act. Singh identified the assailants after viewing the CCTV footage.

Phase 8 station house officer Gurdip Singh Saini said: "The CCTV footage of the camera installed at the house has been procured. Raids are on to nab the accused."
