Army truck hits motorcyclists, injures 3 seriously

An army truck hit two motorcyclists at the Sector-20 roundabout here on Thursday, leaving three people seriously injured.


The incident took place at around 12.30pm. The victims were identified as Rakesh Kumar, a resident of Sector 41, his wife Pratima and Shiv Chandan, a resident of Colony No 5.
The police said Udeyvir Singh was driving the truck from Pathankot army base to Chandimandir when it hit the motorcyclists waiting at the traffic lights.

The victims were rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital at Sector 32.

The truck was impounded. A case has been registered at the Sector-34 police station.
