Arrested Pak soldier repatriated

A Pakistani soldier who crossed the Line of Control (Loc) and entered into the Indian territory was today repatriated to the Pakistan Army via Chakkan-da-Bagh in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir.


"Pak soldier identified as Arif Ali, 19, resident of Quetta was apprehended by the Army yesterday when he crossed over to this side from Kerni Sector," official sources said.

They said that Arif was posted in 25 Frontier Force in Pakistan and he was in civil dress adding, "he was unarmed while two Pak SIM cards, identity card and Pak currency worth Rs 13,306 was recovered from him."

After investigations it was found that he inadvertently crossed the fence.

"The Army this morning at 1000 hrs repatriated him to the Pakistan Army," the sources added.
