Dalip Kumar Jha, who claims to be son of Ashutosh, sect head of Divya Jyoti Jagriti Sansthan (DJJS), has moved an application before the Punjab and Haryana high court seeking directions for an “early” DNA test.

The application will be heard on Monday by the division bench of acting chief justice SJ Vazifdar and justice AS Masih.

His lawyer SP Soi said his client wanted directions from the high court to conduct the DNA test on him before the next date of hearing in the original case, so that the issue with the high court remained only of handing over of Ashutosh’s mortal remains to a party. The next date of hearing in the case is February 9.
