The five-day aviation safety week was concluded at the Chandigarh Airport on Friday. Started on November 24, the event was held with a view to promote the safety awareness among the Airport Authority of India (AAI) executives and staff.
During these five days, airport director Jaideep Singh Balhara conducted a meeting with all staff members and discussed safety manuals, safety data register, etc. with them.
All airport transit system (ATS) documents were updated and records were verified on the ATS manual. The airport authorities also ensured that apron disciplines were maintained properly.
The ground-handling equipment were also maintained and parked properly at the ramp area.
Besides, discussions were also held on "airport emergency plan"and the emergency procedures. All electrical equipment installed at the airport was checked besides updating and revision of the communication, navigational and surveillance (cns) manual.
The airport director said the activities were conducted as per the directions sent by the airport authority of India (AAI), New Delhi.
