Bad fats give you a belly

People who eat a lot of polyunsaturated fat found in fish and nuts gain more muscle and less fat than those who eat a lot of saturated fat found in processed foods.

Unsaturated fats are found in oily fish, nuts and seeds and olive oil, while saturated fat is found in meat, butter, cheese, cream and processed foods such as biscuits and namkeens.

People who eat healthy fats also store less fat around their waists and their internal organs and gained three times more muscle than the group who got their extra calories from polyunsaturated fat, found the Swedish study, which is the first to show that fat composition of food not only influences cholesterol levels and the risk of heart disease and diabetes, but also where in the body fat will be stored.
