Punjab chief minister Parkash Singh Badal today felicitated the people on the eve of 121st birth anniversary of Dr BR Ambedkar, the father of the Indian Constitution. In a message, Badal said one should be committed to realising the dreams of Dr Ambedkar, who had a vision of great democratic India to ensure equality for all.
The chief minister said Dr Ambedkar had always advocated democracy in every field, be it social, economic and political. "For him social justice meant maximum happiness to the maximum number of people," said Badal.
On this occasion, Badal appealed to the people to follow the path shown by Dr Ambedkar and shun the parochial considerations of religion, caste, colour and creed to create a harmonious and egalitarian society.
