Punjab Congress president Partap Singh Bajwa demanded a CBI probe into alleged "links of senior BJP leaders with drug dealers."

"Prime Minister Narendra Modi should fulfil his commitment to eradicate the menace of drugs from Punjab. Modi should also listen to Punjab's 'Mann Ki Baat'," he said.

"Not only the ruling SAD, but their alliance partner BJP is also involved in the drug racket and the state has turned into a drug haven with the direct involvement of leaders of the ruling combine," alleged Bajwa.

The Punjab Congress president, who has again moved the high court for handing over the drug case to the CBI, said the naming of BJP leaders in the FIR has vindicated his stand.
