Bandhus present devotional music soiree

Acclaimed Sufi singers Kumar Bandhus submerged the scant but receptive audience in spiritual fervour at devotional music soiree organised by Haryana’s Multi Art Cultural Centre (MACC), Kurukshetra, and Pracheen Kala Kendra on the eve of Janmashtami at kendra auditorium here on Saturday. The Kumar duo — Anup Kumar and Hemant Kumar — rendered compositions weaved mostly in classical ragas. They commenced the programme with a Surdas bhajan ‘Tum Mori Rakho Laaj Hari’ followed by ‘Jag Mein Sundar Hain Do Naam’, both in raga ‘Todi’ as also ‘Mein Toh Sanwerey Ke Rang’ in raga ‘Charukeshi’.
