A grocery shop owner at Bapu Dham Colony was stabbed and robbed by four people here on Sunday.

Mangal, 35, was stabbed in head and left leg, after he entered in a verbal confrontation with four people who had come to his shop for soda.

The four fled from the spot after allegedly taking ` 55,000 from the cash box of the victim’s shop.

In his statement to police, Mangal alleged that Manish, Mohit, Mustan along with two other persons attacked him and took away the money from his cash box.

Meanwhile, a case under sections 506 (criminal intimidation), 34 (acts done by several persons under sections), 307 (attempt to murder) and 323 (for voluntarily causing hurt) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) has been registered at Sector 26 police station.
