Barwala market panel supervisor caught taking Rs 10,000 bribe
The Haryana vigilance bureau on Monday arrested Ravinder Kumar, a supervisor of the Barwala market committee, while he was allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 10,000 from a sweeper contractor here on Monday.

On the basis of Ravinder’s statement, the vigilance officials booked eight persons in the case.
The vigilance team after receiving a complaint from contractor Ajay Kumar laid a trap opposite the bus stand in Sector 10.
A team of the Panchkula vigilance bureau led by DSP Rajpal Singh arrested Ravinder immediately after he reached the bus stand and Ajay handed him over the packet containing the money.
Rajpal said, “We caught Ravinder Kumar while he was accepting `10,000 from Ajay. We received a complaint from Ajay that all accused were demanding their share from him in order to clear his payment cheques. The supervisor had to give him a cheque for `33,320 and in lieu of that he demanded `10,000. A case has been registered under the Prevention of Corruption Act against all eight accused, including Suman Lata, secretary, Barwala Market Committee.”
Ravinder will be produced in the court on Tuesday.
