BCCI on Tuesday confirmed Indian cricket team's tour to South Africa in December.
The board issued a media alert in this regard shortwhile ago on twitter.
The tweet read: "Team India will play two Test matches and three ODIs against South Africa. The dates/venues will be announced in due course."
It was already being speculated that BCCI had given a green signal to the tour after International Cricket Council (ICC) constituted an enquiry committee to probe alleged charges of inappropriate conduct against Cricket South Africa (CSA) chief executive Haroon Lorgat and former ICC legal head David Becker.
The CSA had also assured board that Lorgat will neither interfere in the BCCI or ICC’s dealing till the probe is completed.
The tour has been reduced from the original three Tests, seven ODIs and two T20 series to just two Tests and three ODIs now.
