Ben Kingsley, the actor who potrayed Mahatma Gandhi in the movie Gandhi, will soon be donning a turban. Kingsley will be playing the role of a Sikh driving instructor in the romantic comedy, Learning to Drive.

If the trailer is anything to go by, Kingsley has pulled of the role of a 'Sardaar' with penache.

Not many people are aware that Kingsley's birth name is Krishna Pandit Bhanji. He did a fantastic role of playing Gandhi, now it reamins to be seen how much accolade (or brickbats) he garners for his role of Darwan Singh.

Learning to Drive releases on August 21.
