Two members of the Haryana Assembly, including former Chief Minister Bhajan Lal, resigned on Friday following their election to the Lok Sabha.

Bhajan Lal and Jitender Malik resigned Adampur and Kailana assembly constituencies in Hissar and Sonipat districts respectively, assembly sources told PTI in Chandigarh.

The resignations of the two have been accepted by the Speaker Raghbir Singh Kadian.
Bhajan Lal and Malik were elected to the Lok Sabha as nominees of the Haryana Janhit Congress-BL and the ruling Congress from Hissar and Sonipat respectively.
