Bhiwani hottest in the region at 44°C

Bhiwani in Haryana was the hottest in the region on Friday as it recorded a temperature of 44.6 degrees Celsius, two degrees above normal. On Saturday, the maximum temperature in the district is expected to fall by a degree.

But the overall weather conditions will remain similar to those on Friday. With temperature rising about two notches in different parts of the region, including in Punjab and Haryana, similar weather conditions are expected on Saturday, as per the meteorological department here.

While the department doesn’t predict a substantial fall in temperature, the officials say it will rain in isolated parts of the region besides in Chandigarh.

Meanwhile, in Hisar and Karnal, which recorded a maximum temperature of 43.5 degrees on Friday, the temperature is expected to come down by a notch on Saturday.

In Punjab, where Amritsar recorded a maximum temperature of 32.8 degrees, six notches below nor mal, the city on Saturday is expected to record about 39 degrees and the weather is expected to remain sunny.

In Patiala, which recorded 40 degrees Celsius on Friday, the temperature is expected to rise further by at least two notches on Saturday.
